Acupuncture and Tai Chi in Birmingham
City Spring is based in Birmingham with a clinic in Harborne and Tai Chi classes in nearby Bearwood.
Acupuncture and Tai Chi are two ancient arts that have proven their worth over centuries. These two arts offer a way of transforming your outlook and health and provide a path for revitalisation and restored vitality.
If you are trying to recover from an injury or pain condition, managing a long-term health problem or just want to improve the way you feel, Acupuncture could be of help.
If you are looking for a form of exercise and a change of outlook that helps you take charge of your health and body then Tai Chi would be ideal.
Acupuncture
The path to better health using acupuncture is ancient and well travelled but it is still relevant in treating health problems that arise today as a result of our 21st century lifestyle. This is mainly due to the way acupuncture views health and the way it looks at the patient coming for treatment. The acupuncturist not only takes note of the patient's symptoms but will look at emotional state, lifestyle, how the patient reacts to stressful situations and pieces all of this together to tailor treatments for each individual patient.
Tai Chi
The gentle movements of Tai Chi were originally developed as a martial art but have become renowned for the way in which they give a practitioner of this art the ability to look after their health and energy even in their older years. Learning Tai Chi and the principles within the movements of the form provides a natural way of restoring and maintaining your general health.
City Spring
City Spring was created by Jon Price as a way of bringing together Traditional Acupuncture and Tai Chi, enabling the public access to the benefits of both of these wonderful systems of health care. The emphasis is on creating respite from daily city life and regaining our natural energy and vitality.
Jon has been involved with Chinese energy arts since 1992. He has practised acupuncture since 2002 and Tai Chi since 2003. He has seen many people's lives enriched by acupuncture and Tai Chi and it is through City Spring he continues to practise and teach in Birmingham.
He is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.
